Yes—and that's the problem. Until recently, conservatives looked at activism as a part-time affair. Unfortunately, while we were working at election time and on a few pet issues, the left was busy taking over the entire nation.
The left is at this, 24-7-365. They’re fighting in every arena of society. Even when we win elections, we continue to slide ideologically because the left’s focus is on moving the whole country leftwards.
They never tire. They never relent. They know that the way to achieve long-term results is through hardcore, noses-to-the-grindstone, ground-game activism.
We need to fight back the way the left is fighting us. Our goal should not just be to win elections and prevail on issues, but literally to move the entire country in our ideological direction.
